Hello from China

I'd really love to put up pictures but I cant. I bought the wrong card reader. I feel so stupid today. Who would've thought that my sd card reader wouldnt be able to read the produo...lolz..

DAY 1

Anyhooz, yesterday we (Me, Mum, Dad, Su Shan, Sia Mee Mee, Lee Pak Kui, Paul, Wang Fook, Douglas and Ah Liao) travelled from Miri to KK. We stayed the night at KK. Seriously, I dont like cities like KK. It's too behind the times for me. I know, I sound like a snob. What to do ? I was built that way.

Well, we checked into our really really crap hotel called Holiday Hotel. It was cheap...you pay for quality. Then there was this really really loud noise downstairs. I thought it was just motorbikes...Su Shan looked out the window and saw a lion dance performance. She loves the sort of thing so we went down to take pictures...there was a lion dance and a dragon dance performance going on for the pharmacy below.

We stood right in front where the owners stood and watched as one lion did the pole jumping thing. It was really impressive...the head went upside down to take the cabbage on the pole to 'eat' it...I was trying to take a nice picture of the lion and out of nowhere this head of cabbage flew straight at my head...the lion targetted me...it was so funny...there were so many people around and it targetted me. Haha...lucky?

We went walking around to find a place to have dinner after that coz mum was really hungry...walking walking walking and finally we ended up at a restaurant that mum swore she'd never go back to. And still we ate there...it was this restaurant called Portview. Mostly seafood naturally. I've got pictures...they'll go up as soon as I can get them up. After dinner we went walking around and I got my Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks...mmmmmm....staaaarbucks...it's been 4 mths...sigh..haha

I shared a room with Shan and Mee Mee...and face it...with both of them around, you'd never get much rest...they're soooo loud...Mee Mee has a really wild imagination....she kept going "Ru guo....." and then she'd start her hypothetical questions..haha..one was if you met a guy with only a 5th grade education, but he was really really rich with a business....would you date him. Aspects of the story kept developing till this hypothetical guy suddenly had feelings and became a real guy...it was soooooo odd..haha..we couldnt stop laughing and she kept whacking me. Crazy foo chow woman!! Needless to say, we all ended up sleeping really late. She kept saying...ok, enough...time to sleep...then after half a minute she'd turn and go..."ru guo....." haha...

Day 2

We got up earlier than we wanted to coz mum called our room. All three of us heard the phone but Shan and I refused to move...so Mee Mee went to get the phone and she was like "hello......" and she put down the phone....6 times...half an hour later, mum knocked on our door...thats when we all got up...when light shone into our room, we saw that the phone was off hook. The top of the phone was placed where the bottom of the phone should be...and mum was yelling.."how come cannot call your room one!!!" we went hysterical again when we saw what Mee Mee did!!!

Our flight from KK to Shenzhen only took about 2 and half hours...time flew pretty quickly. I spent my time playing my psp and playing tai ti with the guys on the plane. I kept losing coz my head wasnt really in it. When we touched down in Shenzhen we got some taxi drivers to take pictures for us while we waited for our car. It was hilarious...the guy turned my camera the wrong way round and tried to use the lens as a peep hole...you know...like olden day cameras where you look through a hole to focus...we thought he was just mucking about...but then..we realised that he was seriously trying to take a picture that way...It was sooooooooo funny!!! I swear...we all thought he was kidding..I kept laughing to myself all the way to Guangzhou.

We were initially supposed to take a train to Guangzhou but we ended up taking 2 cabs instead. We thought the drivers knew where the Golden Bridge Hotel was...but it turns out, they didnt...we were lost and driving around for 3 BLOODY LONG HOURS...imagine being crammed in the back seat of a corolla with your mum, a noisy foochow woman and another girl...it was HELL I tell you!! Especially since mum kept complaining hot and the foochow woman kept talking REALLY loudly....it was stupid.

Well, we got there eventually and the driver got paid what he wanted...1200ren min pi...I dunno how to spell...which came down to about $240 total. It was alright coz there were 5 of us in the cab. But I really really needed to stretch my legs and get some food in me after that trip. We didnt have lunch today.

We went shopping after dinner...well..rather, we went walking around and we walked in a straight line all the way past our hotel...lots of nice little shops. Lingerie is really cheap here...I didnt get any though just now...gonna wait for mum. I saw a couple of hot dudes just now. One that worked at the phone shop and another that walked past me...sigh...guys...so many of them around. I cant wait to meet the really hot ping pong dudes...oh yea...the top tabletennis players here hold the same status as film stars...they're on billboards and posters more than actors...it's crazy...I've seen sooooo many pictures of Wang Liqin, Wang Nan, Ma Lin and Zhang Yining already..

Anyhooz, just now, we almost got hit by a bus. We were waiting for cars to pass before crosssing the road (as you do) and the bus that was stationary started moving right towards us. The driver saw us...he was just being a dick.

Anyhooz..gonna head to bed now. It's been a long long day...haha...Nitez
