good time

I had such a good time today. Spent the whole day with Heng Keit koko, Rita and Rina...=) So much fun.

It's the mooncake festival today. I asked daddy AGAIN the story behind it, and he told me I was a bloody horrendous banana..haha..I'll admit that I am. It's coz he keeps repeating different stories of different events and I kinda got them mixed up. He told me to google it then tell him, but in the end, he ended up just typing it all out on msn coz he didnt have time to really chat with me.

Basically, the story goes like this.

China was ruled along time ago during the Yuan Dynasty by the Mongols who tried to surpress the people by confiscating all weaponry and limit one cleaver for the kitchen between a few families. Each household is guarded by a Mongol Guard.
A group of ingenious Han (Chinese) people got together to figure out a way of overthrowing the Mongols (Tartars) and they baked the round cakes in which slips of paper with the message that on the 15th day of the eighth moon in the Chinese Calendar they will all rise up and kill all the mongol guards outside their houses. These cakes were distributed well before the appointed date and hence the celebration to commemorate the victory over the Mongols - the mooncake festival.

Haha, anyways, whether true or not, that's my daddy's version of it.

Went around the Spencer St DFO and QV just now with keit koko, rita and rina. It took so much will power to not buy anything. After that, we got slightly bored so I took them to my place to just hang out till dinner. We watched Hoodwinked and played quite a bit of Wii where I whooped Keit koko BIG TIME.

Had dinner at Vialetti with a lot of Rina and Ying's friends (that I didnt know at the time). This was a good thing. It meant that I could make new friends (which I did). I was quite disappointed with my Kangaroo Fillet but I was happy with dessert as always =) It was after dinner when all the fun began. We went to Flagstaff park to play with lanterns, eat mooncakes, drink tea and take lots and lots of pictures. Haha. It was soooooooooooo much fun! I really dont mind doing that again. I'll be posting pictures shortly. God knows there are TONZ of them.

It was funny coz just before we were about to leave, a cop car pulled up alongside where we were hanging out. We thought we were in trouble when actually, they just came out to ask what all these weird asian kids were out doing so late at night with red lanterns and candles...it was so funny how the rest of the ppl we were with reacted. Haha..they were like..what do we do ? what do we do ? haha...funny...

Anyhooz, time for bed...really really tired...so I'll just post some pictures then head to bed...!
