oh happy day

I had such a happy day today. I dont know how it started but it only plateau-ed after table tennis when I felt the exhaustion.

So much good food today. Today's the last day of Festival of Nations. Know what that means? People selling the type of food from home. PROPER Asian food...murtabak, nasi lemak, bee hoon, keropok, ABC...that sorta thing..and it was quite yummy..haha..set up by all the different union groups. And the best part of it all?! It was CHEAP!! Finally, I get to see food from home selling at home price (in Aussie dollars, but who's complaining right ?). Haha.

I spent lunch walking through the fair with Ying and we both went quite crazy. Haha. It was soo good..the atmosphere was great. As soon as I saw $1 murtabak, my mind took me back to Brunei pricing. It was so weird. Everything was good until I cast my eyes on the sign saying 6.50 nasi lemak. Then reality sank back in. haha. ok..for melbourne, 6.50 nasi lemak is cheap ok...you imagine paying that sorta money back home for nasi lemak. Can imagine all the old people going "Siao ah le....!" Haha.
It would have been the most perfect lunch I've had in melbourne if it werent for that stupid cendol..That really sucked balls man!! It was like they put in a bucket load of santan AND corn syrup..eurghh...I was telling Ying that we couldnt possibly end all the eating fun on that crap note. So we had chin chow...now THAT was yummy..and only a dollar..haha...mmmmm

It was a bit weird coz after all the ruckus of a festival going on in the North Court, we were heading back towards the Bailleau library when we saw an ambulance. I was going "ooh look ambulan ambulan" to ying..I think I was saying that coz I was high on food and sugar. But what we saw really came as a shock. I thought it was just there coz someone in the Arts or Economics building passed out or something. When we went past the vehicle, we saw a middle aged woman lying on the ground. I saw her sporting a neck brace and saw cuts all over her arms. Ying said there where cuts and slits all over her face. I really wonder how it happened...freaky...

Anyhooz..I'm gonna go make some dinner...haha...yummy!!!
